About me.

Lead Designer at Flip, one of Brisbane’s most awarded agencies. Eight years across fintech, corporate and culture.

Design, to me, is the craft of making the complex feel obvious.

I've worked with big brands and scrappy startups alike, always chasing that sweet spot where form meets function.

I care about the details that most people skip, the ones that decide whether a product actually works or just looks like it does. That's the thinking I bring to every brief, whether it's a fintech platform or an arts venue's website.

Disciplines

UX/UI Design

Every interface decision starts with the problem it solves, not the trend. Put into practice on fintech products like PaySim.

Product & Web Design

I design for real use, not just the mockup. Having built sites myself, I know what is achievable and how long it actually takes.

Brand Identity

Identity systems that stay consistent wherever they show up, from logo and type to colour and voice. Kin is that thinking in practice.

Wireframing & Prototyping

Structure and flow tested before anything gets built. I leaned on this heavily for Suncorp’s smart building app.

Questions I get asked often

Do you use AI?

Only where it actually earns its place. I use it to help guide my thinking, to brainstorm and work through ideas, and to fill in the gaps, and it takes the repetitive busy work off my plate so my time goes into the parts that need real human judgment. It never touches the things that matter, though. Anything that gets designed and shipped is my own work.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I really believe that keeping healthy feeds into a healthy mindset, and that it shows up in my creative output. So I stay active with running, weightlifting, and badminton. Outside of that, you'll usually catch me eating at whatever restaurant or café just opened, or out walking my German Shepherd.

What’s your design process like?

It varies, because different projects call for different things. Some need proper user testing, others don't, and a lot depends on the situation, the context, and the information already available. That balance comes up constantly in agency work, where you're weighing budget against deliverables and deciding what matters most for the outcome.
